Another birthday for you today, January 28th. This time it’s your 15th. And you already tower over my five-feet-nine-inches.
I remember meeting you for the first time, just a few weeks before your second birthday. You crawled up into my lap and looked at me with your big, beautiful eyes.
So much of life has changed, and you are no longer a little boy, but nearly a man. But as I have watched you grow up, you have so many talents and so much to offer this world. You have so much life to live.
Happy Birthday, Miles. I love you.
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with old nonsense.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
