There are no coincidences…or are there?

Tonight I am in a contemplative mood.

Not really in the mood for writing, but for…

just how much (what seems to be) a disconnected series of events, a group of a few individuals who barely know one another, and the common thread of dedication to a cause can connect these parts into a powerfully united project…

…which will far outreach the simple reason it began.

So before I retire for the evening,  I simply ask myself (and my readers)–

Is there such a thing as coincidence?

“Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection to you.”  ~~Augustine of Hippo

(Note from author:  All of this is in response to what I have seen, felt and experienced since having gotten involved with the “A Pearl to Bridget” Project  (click hyperlink to read) and the impact that it has had on  each of us as we work together. Powerful things happening.)

A spiritual writer I enjoy, Mark Patrick Hederman, considers coincidence to be the way the Holy Spirit of God acts anonymously in the world :).

We have all had many ‘wow’ moments, but the sweetest kind are those when faith is at a low ebb, and we are slow to ask God for some kind of sign, for fear of the presumption in it, but He sends one anyway, one only we can recognise, private to us. Its like the nudge of a parent on the cheek of a child.

    1. Mick, I will have to check his messages out. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your continued support of me and my blog. (You may want to check out the “About” page, which has been updated.)
