An Honest Friendship

Friendship makes prosperity more shining and lessens adversity by dividing and sharing it. — Cicero (44 B.C.)

Little to share this morning due to time constraints, but wanted to say that I visited with my friend  yesterday for a few hours.

It is not always easy facing what life gives us, but when we can share it with others, it lessens the burden.  We each have a purpose in this life, and we never know what impact we will have on others, or others on us.

What I appreciate most about knowing Kim is this:  Our friendship is genuinely honest and real.

There has never been any pretense between the two of us.  We each accept the other as we are…in strength, in challenge, in laughter and tears, in everything that we have shared.  It’s been the most life-giving  healthy friendship I have ever had.

And even though we haven’t known one another a long time, nor have we shared much time together over these four years, she has made my life better.
