A Reminder from President Ronald Reagan

This week I was honored to be interviewed by author Lyn Lomasi.  I must admit that having an opportunity to share things which are important to me was touching, but overwhelming at the same time.  Too often I devalue the good things that others think or say about me or I question myself.

Allowing myself to be challenged to see myself as someone to be introduced to a broader-based readership, sharing more of the vulnerable me, and looking past the challenging fears gave me opportunity to show a side of myself that may be surprising to some, and hopefully inspiring to others.

Keep testing the waters, Coral, and pushing back against the things that keep you from accomplishing all you wish to accomplish.  This is what I must keep reminding myself.

Today is also the 99th anniversary of the birth of Ronald Reagan.  In my opinion, he was a man of greatness and I was proud to have served in the military while he was President of the United States–my Commander-in-Chief.

There were so many wonderful quotes that we can remember him by, but one of my absolute favorites is:

There are no such things as limits to growth, because there are no limits to the human capacity for intelligence, imagination, and wonder. ~Ronald Reagan

When I feel limited, it is because of my own fear of success.  But when I remember to keep myself open to thinking, learning, imagining, and wondering, there is nothing that is outside of my capacity.

Thank you for the reminder, Mr. President.  And Happy Birthday.
